Today it is already known that the new 2023 Amarok will share components with the latest-generation Ford Ranger. This integration is part of an agreement between VW and Ford on commercial vehicles. The two auto giants signed a “Memorandum of Understanding” in 2018.
By the way, Ford and Volkswagen worked together in the past. The two brands joined forces in the 90s and created a 7-seater MPV Ford Galaxy, Volkswagen Sharan, and SEAT Alhambra, AutoExpress reports. The minivans were built on a common platform and manufactured at the AutoEuropa plant in Palmela, Portugal.
