All-New 2023 Kia Niro Hybrid Got Pricing, Sales Begin

The 2023 Kia Niro Hybrid is arriving in U.S. dealerships. It starts at $26,490 (MSRP) before all charges and taxes.

The new-generation Kia Niro Hybrid features larger dimensions, more passenger room, and more standard technologies, including a transferable digital key and dual panoramic displays.

Its naturistic aerodynamic exterior design is complemented by an avant-garde eco-friendly interior with seats made of polyurethane and Tencel (eucalyptus leaves) materials.

Under the hood, there is a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine and a 32-kW electric motor which together produce 139 hp and 195 lb-ft and provide a fuel economy of 53 mpg. Power is transferred to the front wheels via a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission.

The crossover offers LX ($27,785), EX ($30,385) and SX ($33,785 SX) trim levels and a Touring Package in addition. The prices shown here include a destination fee.

Our Take on the Model

If you are a city dweller and need an affordable crossover, the 2023 Kia Niro Hybrid is a good pick. The model features a nice interior, agile handling, intuitive tech, and many driver assistance features. At the same time, the model trails its bigger competitors in terms of acceleration and in-cabin space.

The Niro Hybrid is cheaper and 10 mpg more fuel-efficient than the 2023 Kia Sportage Hybrid, for example. Moreover, it has a larger standard infotainment touchscreen (10.3 vs 8.0 inches).

The Toyota RAV4 Hybrid has a more spacious interior, snappier acceleration, and all-wheel drive, but the Niro CUV is better in terms of gas mileage and base price.
