Two crossovers will be added to the Alfa Romeo lineup by 2022.
A compact Tonale and a flagship Castello will enter the world market in the next two years. Following the trend of increasing demand for SUVs, Alfa has started developing two new products at once.
The Alfa Romeo Tonale (pictured) was already presented as a concept at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. The crossover is smaller than the existing Stelvio and, according to the company’s production plan, will debut by 2022.
The Tonale will receive a modification with a hybrid transmission and, as they say, a semi-autonomous control system of Level 3.
Alfa’s flagship will be the Castello, which is more luxurious and powerful than the Tonale and the Stelvio. A six-cylinder turbo engine is expected. The company should unveil the Castello still this year.
Today the Italian brand is represented by a single crossover – the Alfa Romeo Stelvio priced at 40,295 dollars in the U.S.
