Reborn Acura Integra Arrives in 2022 as Sport Hatchback

Honda’s premium brand has released a new teaser of the upcoming 2023 Acura Integra saying it will be “a premium sport compact with striking five-door design”.

Acura returns the Integra to the market. The fifth-generation model is inspired by the original car that helped launch the brand in 1986. The company will introduce the 2023 Acura Integra next year.

Closer to the premiere, Acura will unveil more and more details about the new product. Meanwhile, the automaker has shared a new teaser photo, and now we see it is not a 2-door sports coupe as many fans of the brand expected.

The next Integra will have a 4-door hatchback design with a sloping fastback-like rear end. The original Acura Integra, by the way, was available in two- and four-door hatchback forms. A 2-door variant of the revived Integra is not excluded and may arrive someday, but the 4-door layout makes more sense today in terms of rivalry.

The new Integra will compete with such models as the Mercedes-Benz A-Class and CLA-Class, the Audi A3. They have four doors.

It’s logical to assume that the 2023 Acura Integra could share the platform and powertrain with the latest Honda Civic, more precisely – with its hot version powered by a 2.0-liter inline turbo-four. We’ll see.

The new Acura model should go on sale in the United States of America in 2022 shortly after the debut.
