The T-Roc R SUV will soon joint Volkswagen’s hot lineup. A pre-series prototype has been already tested on public roads. The upcoming model is expected to get an all-wheel-drive system and a 300-hp engine.
The Volkswagen T-Roc R was last seen at the Nürburgring. Fully wrapped in camouflage, the hot crossover looks almost like a version for sale, unlike previous test cars.
The T-Roc R will receive larger wheels, more powerful brakes, rigider suspension than the base model.
A 2.0-liter petrol turbocharged engine, which is also mounted in the Golf R hatchback, will likely be under the hood, with 300 hp transmitted to all wheels by VW’s 4Motion system.
The performance T-Roc will go on sale in 2019.
Apart from the R version the SUV be offered as a convertible too, which arrives in 2020.
