Porsche will launch a hotter 718 Cayman GT4 RS.
It will be the most track-capable modification of the famous sports car. It is lighter, stiffer, lower, more potent and, as we expect, significantly pricier than the standard GT4 model (pictured).
The 718 Cayman GT4 RS is a chassis-wise car that uses many axle components from the Porsche 911 GT3. The power comes from a 4.0-liter inline-six engine making about 500 hp.
The model is set to arrive in late 2021 or early 2022 with a price tag around $130,000. Due to the coronavirus, the introduction and on-sale dates may change.
The 2022 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS has no direct competitors on the market. The upcoming Chevy Corvette Z06 may be considered a rival to some extent.
