General Motors will reveal several electrified concept vehicles at the digital Consumer Electronics Show (CES) next month.
CEO Mary Barra will make presentation of the company’s electrification strategy at 9 a.m. Eastern Time on January 12, 2021.
Afterward, expect GM will unveil a Chevrolet pickup – perhaps, the plug-in hybrid Silverado with the Ultium battery system, as there were some hints at it.
In November the company placed a pickup truck, not seen before, in the background of an investor conference.
Other newcomers will be the Cadillac Lyriq plus a few electrified Cadillacs (including an electric crossover with a targeted range of 300 miles) and Chevrolets.
In general, the automaker plans to launch 30 electric vehicles by 2025. One of them is the recently unveiled GMC Hummer EV – the first electric pickup of General Motors. It will reach dealerships next fall as the 2022 Edition 1 model.
