2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV: What to Expect

Earlier this month, during the 2022 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the carmaker has confirmed it will launch an all-electric Chevrolet Blazer EV: the crossover should be available in spring 2023.

In conjunction with the CES 2022 (January 5-7), Chevy debuted a Silverado EV and announced its future portfolio of pure electric vehicles that will include the Chevrolet Blazer EV and the Chevrolet Equinox EV.

While the all-electric Equinox is previewed in a series of teaser images, the 2024 Blazer EV is still a ‘dark horse’. Although it is not difficult to imagine that the company will apply the same EV design and features to the Blazer as to the Equinox, in particular, a full-width LED light bar with headlight clusters separated from the main signature element, a roof spoiler, and a thin lighting strip in the rear that connects both sides of the vehicle.

On the whole, we expect Chevrolet to retain the feeling of a lifted pony car the existing Blazer evokes, and to add some styling cues typical for a modern electric car.

Like the Chevy Equinox EV, the electric Blazer will utilize GM’s Ultium technology (platform, battery, drive system), and, most likely, will have single- and dual-motor setups. The latter potentially enables 580 hp. The e-crossover will offer several trim levels including a sports RS version.

Since the Equinox EV will be available at an estimated manufacturer’s suggested retail price of around $30,000 in the USA, as the company itself reports, the electric Blazer will probably start at $35,000. The model should come in spring 2023. The more affordance Equinox should join in fall 2023.

As for the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV whose debut took place at the CES 2022, its Work Truck ( WT) variant is slated to go into production in spring 2023, while the fully-loaded RST First Edition model will enter production in fall 2023.
