A six-speed intelligent Manual Transmission (iMT) comes in pair with the 2023 Toyota GR Supra’s 3.0-liter engine.

We wondered with which of two turbocharged engines of the Toyota GR Supra a stick shift will be used, and now everything is clear – with a more potent 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six making 382 horsepower and 368 pound-feet of torque.

Another choice, we recall, is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 255 hp and 295 lb-ft, and pairs only an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The manual gearbox is available on the GR Supra 3.0, 3.0 Premium, and A91-MT Edition models. The latter is limited to 500 units, produced only for the model year of 2023, and comes with MT along, while the rest two are offered with both transmission variants.

Engineers of Toyota Gazoo Racing developed the manual transmission with components specifically designed to match the power and torque of the 3.0L engine. To improve performance, they re-tuned the GR Supra’s suspension and braking control system.

Also, for the 2023 model year, Toyota GR Supra adds new color options: Stratosphere Blue for the Supra 2.0, MT Supra 3.0, and 3.0 Premium, as well as Matte White and CU Later Gray for the A91-MT Edition.

That edition features unique Cognac leather seats, a 12-speaker JBL sound system with acoustical turnings, exclusive forged 19-inch Frozen Gunmetal Gray wheels, an Alcantara-trimmed shift knob with a GR logo, and red accents (badge, calipers, strut tower braces).

Toyota will inform this summer how much the 2023 GR Supra MT versions cost. Later this year, they will arrive at retailers.
