The manufacturer has updated a popular Nightshade factory designer package for the latest 2023 Toyota Camry.
The Camry Nightshade Special Edition offers a selection of three exterior colors: Midnight Black, White, and a new Reservoir Blue. The package is available for all 4-cylinder and hybrid models, Toyota reports.
The distinguishers of this version include 19-inch matte bronze aluminum alloy wheels, a black front grille with Sport Mesh insert, a black rear spoiler; black-trimmed mirror caps, badges, headlights, taillights, and a sport-tuned suspension.
In general, the 2023 Toyota has three powertrain variants: a 2.5-liter Dynamic Force 4-cylinder with 202-206 hp, and 185-186 lb-ft; a 3.5-liter V6 with 301 hp and 267 lb-ft of torque; the next-gen Toyota Hybrid System (THS II).
The latter is based on the 4-cylinder engine producing here 176 hp and 163 lb-ft, a 118-hp electric motor (MG1), and a second motor (MG2) for hybrid battery charging. The total hybrid system net output is 208 hp. The fuel consumption of the Camry Hybrid is 53 mpg in the combined cycle.
All gasoline Camry models come with a direct-shift 8-speed automatic transmission, while hybrid vehicles are equipped with ECVT (an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission).
As for the safety pack, it is Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+ for the new 2023 Camry.
The Toyota Camry is one of three top-sellers of the brand in the USA, behind the RAV4 and ahead of the Highlander by sales this year. 87,828 units were sold from January to April 2022 vs 108,090 units a year earlier.
