Pricing for refreshed 2023 Subaru Outback and Legacy models has been recently announced. Both will begin arriving at dealerships this fall.
The Subaru Outback and Legacy – a brand’s bestseller in America and a world’s leading midsize sedan – got updates for the next model year. We’ve already covered the topic of the 2023 Legacy and the 2023 Outback before.
Now the new prices are revealed. They are from $29,620 to $43,520 for the Outback, and between $25,415-38,715 for the Legacy, including a destination and delivery charge. There is also a number of option packages that cost from $1,000 to $3,000.
The changes, in brief, include a redesigned front fascia, improved on-screen controls of Subaru Starlink multimedia systems, and two engine options for the Outback Onyx Edition.
The standard-now features include the latest EyeSight driver assist tech, Wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto on the 11.6-inch Multimedia Plus system, and a 2.4-liter turbocharged Subaru Boxer engine under the hood of the Legacy Sport.

Is the Subaru Outback a good choice?
Yes, it is a great wagon with an airy and upscale interior, roomy seating, loads of cargo space, standard all-wheel drive, above-average fuel economy, an optional zippy turbo engine (a base one is sluggish a bit), good towing capability, and a decent list of standards safety features.
If you shop for a new station wagon – pay attention to the Outback: it is one of the cheapest models in the segment and the most practical variant for families.
All of the above applies to the Subaru Legacy. It is a good daily driver, that is affordable (lowest-priced entrant in the class) and safe (has great crash test results), albeit may seem unexciting.
