The fifth-generation 2023 Lexus RX has just debuted. Expect it on sale at the end of this year.
The next-generation Lexus RX crossover rides on a new global GA-K platform. The vehicle offers four redesigned powertrains, three of which are electrified ones, two all-new trim levels, and such features as Lexus Interface Multimedia System, Digital Key, and Lexus Safety System+ 3.0.
Appearance
The exterior of the new 2023 RX is an evolution of the brand’s spindle body design with a sculpted seamless grille, integrated headlamps, low center of gravity, 19- and 21-inch wheels, 3D surface from the side, and an L-shaped light bar lamp with lenses at the back.
The interior has control surfaces tuned to enable intuitive connection and control. You can open the door with a touch of an e-Latch system. Multi-colored illumination accents, door trim options, a panorama glass roof, a head-up display, Lexus Interface and trials, navigation and audio.

Lexus offers ten exterior and six interior color options for the new RX.
There will be six trim levels to select: Standard, Premium, RX-first Premium+, Luxury, F SPORT Handling, and RX-first F SPORT Performance.
Versions

1. RX 350 (FWD/AWD) offers a responsive 2.4-liter turbo inline-four engine with 275 hp and 317 lb-ft mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Fuel consumption figures are 24 miles per gallon in a mixed cycle. The car needs 7.5 sec (FWD) and 7.2 sec (AWD) to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph.
2. RX 350h (AWD) has a fuel-efficient hybrid system with a high-torque 2.5-liter inline-four and a continuously variable transmission; output is 246 hp and 233 lb-ft; fuel efficiency reaches 33 mpg combined. 7.4 seconds are needed for the 0-60 mph sprint.
3. RX 450h+ plug-in hybrid, details will follow later.
4. RX-first 500h F SPORT Performance with exterior and interior distinctions, and a new hybrid-electric system. The system comprises a high-torque 2.4L turbocharged engine, a 6-speed automatic transmission, a high-output electric motor, and outputs 367 hp and 406 lb-ft. This version utilizes Lexus DIRECT4 AWD drivetrain providing maximum traction, grip, and acceleration. The fuel economy is 26 mpg. The acceleration figure is 5.9 seconds.
The 2023 Lexus RX will go on sale at the end of 2022.
