2023 Lexus NX Is Here, Approaches to Fight Top Rivals

Lexus NX 2023

The automaker has announced pricing for the 2023 Lexus NX.

The 2023 Lexus NX is available with gasoline engines, a naturally aspirated and a turbocharged one, as well as plug-in hybrid and hybrid-electric powertrains.

The new prices inclusive a destination fee are as follows: $39,755 for NX 250 FWD, $41,355 for NX 250 AWD, $43,515 for NX 350, $43,105 for NX 350h, and $57,705 for NX 450h+. The price rise across the lineup is on average $880 more compared to the 2022 NX.

Lexus fully redesigned the NX for the 2022 model year, and all those new features are carried over to 2023.

Our Take on the Model

The Lexus NX is a nice car in terms of interior quality, ride, handling, and safety. It offers an abundance of standard features and can boast a decent, user-friendly, up-to-date infotainment system – Lexus Interface with extended Connected Service trials.

At the same time, the model also has comparatively weak points, like an underwhelming base engine or rather small cargo area.

Thanks to updates and innovations, the NX becomes closer to competition with top rivals such as the Volvo XC60 or the BMW X3, but it still doesn’t surpass them.

However, the Lexus model is quite able to challenge the Acura MDX or the Genesis GV 70.

New Package for the 2023 Lexus NX

An F SPORT Handling package is available on the 2023 Lexus NX 350. This equipment includes Active Variable Suspension, performance dampers, Dark Graphite Aluminum ornamentation, a unique meter, scuff plates, and bolstered steering wheel/aluminum pedals/sports seats.

Also, it features exclusive exterior colors, perforated interior trim in Black and Circuit Red NuLuxe, an F SPORT grille, 20-inch gloss black aluminum wheels with color-key overfenders, black roof rails, and other black details.

There is the F SPORT Handling with Luxury package for the NX 350 and NX 450h+ that adds unique headlamps, thematic ambient illumination, and a 14-inch touchscreen.

Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come as standard for the 2023 model, as well as an optional wireless charge.
