The automaker has recently announced the 2023 Kia Forte.
The 2022 Kia Forte was thoroughly updated including a new exterior design and upgrades in the cabin. For the next model year, the car remains almost unchanged, apart from the fact that the company has shuffled the trim lineup.
There are four trim levels: LX, LXS, GT-Line, and the most popular GT. The new prices are between $20,585 and $25,985 including a destination fee.
In the USA, the Forte is one of the TOP 3 best-sellers of the brand: with 52,523 sales from January to July 2022, the sedan is behind the Sportage (1st) and Telluride (2nd).
The Kia Forte is a nice car overall, with few weaknesses, indeed, among which there is an unrefined and loud continuous variable transmission, as well as a mixed feel on ride and handling.
If you’re looking for an economical, sensible, well-packed, and affordable compact car – the Forte will be a good choice. The model has a great fuel economy of 30/41/34 mpg with a base engine, a straightforward infotainment system, a high-quality and roomy interior supplemented with a sizeable trunk.
Engine variants are the standard 2.0 MPI I-4 making 147 hp and 132 pound-feet, paired to the CVT, and a more vivacious 1.6T GDI 1-4 with 201 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque, mated either to a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed DCT.
