2023 Ford Transit Trail Van Debuts in November

Ford Pro has teased a new 2023 Ford Transit Trail. The company will introduce the van next month.

The 2023 Ford Transit Trail is coming. This is a new camper van version of the popular model. The automaker has modernized the vehicle inside and out and equipped it with factory-made features for motorhome users.

The list of that equipment is still unknown, but we can assume it will include something like murphy beds, flushable toilets, modular storage spaces, washbasins with running water, etc.

Ford will build the Transit Trail at the Kansas City Assembly Plant, a ‘home’ of the Transit lineup.

The camper van will be definitely more expensive than the Ford Transit’s passenger and cargo variants. The 2023 Transit base price – MSRP before all charges, fees, and taxes – is $48,630; the 2023 E-Transit starts at $49,575.

History

The Ford Transit series is produced by Ford Motor Company in Europe, Turkey, the USA, and China.

In Europe, the model is a best-seller in the LCV class for 40 years, and in some countries, the “Transit” word has come into use as the name of any similar-sized commercial van. The Transit debuted on the American continent in 2007. It has eight generations.

For North America, the model comes with either a naturally aspirated 275-hp V6 or a turbocharged V6 engine delivering 310 hp, both mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Rear- and all-wheel-drive configurations, three comfort levels – passenger, cargo, and cargo crew are available.
