Ford Australia announces the reveal date of the new 2023 Ford Ranger: the company will debut the model in live stream on YouTube on November 24, 2021.
The global version of the all-new Ford Ranger will throw off the veils in three weeks – on Wednesday, November 24. Americans will have to wait a longer time – till mid-summer 2023, when the pickup should go on sale in the country.
Ford has released a new teaser video that shows the design process. When working on the next-generation 2023 Ford Ranger, the design team has focused on meeting the real-life needs of pickup owners. Ford interviewed more than 5,000 owners worldwide to find out their likes, dislikes, how they use their vehicles and which challenges they have.
The new Ford Ranger is a true global truck, most capable ever, set to be on sale in more than 180 countries. The manufacturer states it is “designed to go more places, work harder and offer more comfort and refinement than ever before.”
During the test stage, the Ranger prototypes underwent extreme testing in hot and cold environments.
Ford has not unveiled the technical specifications yet. While we’re waiting for the official premiere, we can guess which engines will be available for the fourth-gen Ford Ranger. Expect a pair of turbocharged diesel options, a plug-in hybrid variant, a high-performance Raptor – supposedly with a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 under the hood, Ford’s latest connectivity features and the SYNC 4 multimedia.
As the result of the Ford-Volkswagen deal to share architecture for commercial vehicles, the new Ranger is a platform-mate of the new-gen Volkswagen Amarok pickup that arrives next year.
