The 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor is $5K pricier than its predecessor due to one change.
The Blue Oval dropped an 800A Standard Equipment Group in favor of a more expensive 801A High Equipment Group to use in the new Ford F-150 Raptor. This resulted in a substantial price increase for the next-model-year vehicle.
While the 2022 Ford F-150 Raptor’s MSRP is $72,350, the 2023 model costs $5,220 more – that is $77,570. The prices include a $1,795 Destination and Delivery charge but exclude other fees and options.
801A High Equipment Group
This Equipment Group includes the Torsen Package, the Convenience Package, and the Tow Technology Package.
Among multiple features it offers, there is a heated steering wheel, a Forward Sensing System, a power tilt and telescoping steering column with memory, a universal garage door opener, LED projector headlamps with dynamic bending, a wireless charging pad inside, connected built-in navigation or a partitioned lockable fold-flat storage.
Other Changes
Apart from the Raptor, the XL and Tremor variants got more expensive equipment groups as well.
For the 2023 model year, the F-150 Tremor comes with a base 5.0-liter V8 Coyote engine that replaces a 3.5L V6 EcoBoost unit, and the Limited trim level receives the PowerBoost hybrid powertrain and AWD instead of 2WD and the 3.5L V6 EcoBoost engine.
Moreover, the 2023 Ford F-150 lineup adds the Rattler, Heritage Edition, and Raptor R versions. The last is a direct competitor to the RAM 1500 TRX.
