2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Is the Model You Can’t Order Any More

General Motors has stopped taking new orders for the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06.

The 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, both Coupe and Convertible, is no longer available to order. Last month, the automaker announced that due to a supplier constraint, it would be able to complete 10 percent of the orders accepted.

Now we’ve got to know from GM Authority, that Chevy ceases ordering altogether, and it’s unclear if and when the company will restart taking orders.

Besides, a Z07 Carbon Fiber Aero Package and a limited-run 70th Anniversary Edition Package are currently under heavy constraint.

A certain number of registered 2023 model year orders will quite possibly flow to the 2024 model year.

The manufacture of the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 should begin this month at the GM Bowling Green Assembly in Kentucky. The volume of production is not exactly known today, but it will be definitely small, given the circumstances.

A Few Facts About the 2023 Corvette Z06

It is the first mid-engine Z06. The car is considerably wider than the regular Corvette Stingray, with bigger air intakes and a unique rear wing.

The main highlight of the Z06 is its engine – a naturally aspirated 5.5-liter V8 making 670 hp and 460 pound-feet of torque mated to the Stingray’s 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with a shorter 5.56 final drive ratio and rear-wheel drive. The engine has a unique sound that is different from other Corvettes.

The 2023 Corvette Z06’s 0-60-mph acceleration time is 2.6 seconds. The car runs the quarter-mile in 10.6 seconds at 130 mph.

The top speed the model gains is 195 mph, but it can be reduced to 189 mph if fitted with the Z07 high-downforce package adding a huge rear wing.
