The new 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 has made its official debut. In a film “Putting the World on Notice”, several famous personalities related to the brand’s iconic cars introduce the model.
The manufacturer unveiled a high-performance, most track-capable 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 on October 26, 2021. An all-star cast of renowned personalities who have passion for the car, Chevy’s engineers and designers who worked on the model, provide their commentary in the film titled “Putting the World on Notice”.
The new Chevrolet Corvette Z06’s chassis, engine architecture, exterior proportions take direction from Corvette Racing’s C8.R, while its performance, design language, attention to detail are the Corvette Stingray’s heritage.
The Corvette Z06 offers a choice of rich materials and textures, including more carbon fiber, new interior packages and options, an elevated driver-focused cockpit, exclusive features. The great track capability can be achieved thanks to a Z07 Performance Package available for the model.
The car has wider fenders, a 3.6 inches (9.4 cm) wider stance, larger brakes, a bigger front splitter, and massive 345-series rear tires. The model features specific suspension tuning, more aggressive aerodynamic package with 3 increasing levels of aerodynamic support.
The exterior got a unique front and rear fascia, a unique reconfigurable rear spoiler, largest-ever 20- and 21-inch rear forged aluminum “spider” wheels (standard). Lightweight and rigid carbon fiber wheels are available.
The 2023 Chevy Corvette Z06 offers 12 exterior colors, 7 wheel packages, including 5 finishes on the standard wheels, 6 brake caliper colors.
7 interior colors are available with the opportunity to expand to multiple combinations; 3 seat choices, and 6 seatbelt options, 2 interior carbon-fiber trim packages, plus Stealth Aluminum trim option.
The Z06 comes with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission which, compared to the Stingray, has a shorter 5.56 final drive ratio that enhances acceleration capability.
The 2023 Corvette Z06 debuts an all-new LT6 engine – naturally aspirated, 5.5-liter DOHC V8 with a lightweight, flat-plane crank design enabling to rev to the high rpms. The engine produces 670 hp at 8,400 rpm and 460 lb-ft (623 Nm) of torque at 6,300 rpm.
The 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 will go into production next summer at the Bowling Green Assembly Plant. The car will be available in left- and right-hand drive.
