New 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Enjoys Increased Consumer Demand

The 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 has been just unveiled, but over a thousand people are on the waitlist for the model at one dealer.

The new 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 made its debut quite recently. According to the information from one of the largest dealers of the brand in the USA, namely Criswell Chevrolet in Maryland, the number of pre-orders customers placed for a Corvette Z06 has well exceeded 1,000, Muscle Cars & Trucks reports.

This is a decent quantity for a single dealer. To be on the waitlist, a buyer has to give a refundable deposit of $1,000 to the dealership.

Being a large dealership, Criswell Chevrolet could get more Z06 allocations than smaller dealers: presumably 80-100 new vehicles a month. Taking into account the number of deposits it already received, customers may wait for a few years before they take delivery of their desired Corvette Z06s.

Production for the 2023 Corvette Z06 is slated for the summer of 2022. Chevy will only build the model at the Bowling Green Assembly plant, in both left and right-hand drive variants.

The new Corvette Z06 is equipped with the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 ever – an all-new, flat-plane LT6 DOHC engine that produces 670 hp and spins up to 8,600 rpm.

The vehicle features a thing usually met in race cars. This is about helper springs, firsts for the Corvette. To provide better control, they keep the mainspring coiled in position when the suspension decompresses or droops in certain driving conditions. The Z06’s steering response is sharper and more responsive than the C8 Corvette Stingray Z51.

Moreover, a car like this offers no auto start-stop or cylinder deactivation but does offer 11,000 possible build combinations to customers. The available Z07 package makes the model even more capable.
