The 2023 Acura MDX and MDX Type S have already begun arriving at U.S. dealerships. The automaker offers new standard premium services for the model.

The new Acura MDX and its high-performance S Type version are available for purchase now. The 2023 Acura MDX flagship costs between $50,245- $64,195.The 2023 Acura MDX S Type’s pricing is $68,545 and $73,895 when comes with the Advanced Package. All prices include a destination and handling fee.

Should I Buy an MDX?

It is a good car with a stylish exterior, a well-built interior, lots of standard features, and a good cargo capacity. The Acura MDX costs less than many of its classmates, such as the Mercedes-Benz GLE, Lexus RX350, or the BMW X5, but, at the same time, it doesn’t approach their level of opulence and comfort.

Some dislike the MDX’s infotainment system, and some have mixed feelings about its ride quality.

Powertrain

Engines choices are a 3.5-liter V6 engine with 290 hp and 267pound-feet to power the regular MDX, and a 3.0-liter Type S Turbo V6 with 355 hp and 354 pound-feet of torque for the hot variant.

Both engines are mated to a 10-speed transmission, in the case of the S Type, it is performance-tuned.

Drive options are front-wheel drive or super handling all-wheel drive. The latter is standard for the MDX S Type.

Premium Services

The 2023 Acura MDX and MDX Type come standard with 3 years of AcuraLink services, including Security and Remote packages, at no extra cost.

Also, the manufacturer offers customers a new Acura Maintenance Package for the first 2 years or 24,000 miles. This is a complimentary maintenance plan to be fulfilled at participating Acura dealerships that covers select factory-scheduled maintenance.

Premium Features

Acura is Honda’s luxury and performance division, so its cars are trimmed with premium materials and equipped with premium systems, not to mention advanced safety packs.

The standard equipment of the MDX models, in particular, includes a 12.3-inch Precision Cockpit, a 12.3-inch ultra-wide HD center display with True Touchpad Interface (some think it is irritating and distracting!), a panoramic moonroof, and a multi-function second row.

The materials used in the cabin include open-pore wood and Milano leather. An ELS STUDIO 3D premium audio system, 16-way power-adjustable front seats, and massaging seats with 9 different modes are available.
