2022 Toyota Camry Goes on Sale: Adds New Colors, a New Hybrid

The U.S. pricing for the 2022 Toyota Camry has been announced. The sedan got some minor updates for the new model year, and a new SE Hybrid Nightshade Edition.

The refreshed 2022 Toyota Camry is now available in the USA. The manufacturer revised the color palette: two-tone Calvary Blue with Black Roof for TRD and Ice Edge for LE, SE, XSE are added.

A herringbone seat pattern is offered for the Camry XLE. The new standard features include dual-zone climate control and heated side mirrors. All trim levels come with a floating multimedia screen in 7-inch or 9-inch sizes for 2022.

A new version joined the lineup – SE Hybrid Nightshade with black detailing: 18-inch wheels, a shark fin antenna, a badge, window trim, mirror caps, door handles.

The 2022 Toyota Camry offers 18 different variants:

  • three with a 3.5-liter 301-hp V6 DOHC engine;
  • ten with a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine including five with North America-only all-wheel drive and five with front-wheel drive;
  • five hybrid models including the aforementioned SE Hybrid Nightshade.

Any engine is mated to an 8-speed Direct-Shift automatic transmission.

The non-hybrid Camry’s prices range from $26,320(SE) to $36,745 (XSE V6), the hybrid models cost from $28,405 (LE) to $33,945 (XSE). The SE Hybrid Nightshade Edition is priced at $30,640. All prices include Delivery Processing and Handling fee.

The Toyota Camry has been very popular for years in many markets, and still is in some countries. But Americans have been losing interest in the Camry, and it is discontinued in Great Britain. Is the model’s star hour behind? We would not like to believe it…
