New Subaru Forester Wilderness Debuts on September 2

For the 2022 model year, Subaru refreshes the Forester SUV lineup for America along with adding a new trim – Wilderness.

So, the company continues expanding this all-terrain version to its vehicles. The Subaru Outback already has such: the 2022 Outback Wilderness has been on sale in the USA since April 2021 priced at $38,120 including a destination fee.

Now the Forester joins this modification, at least Subaru’s teasers make hints.

The Wilderness package brings much better cross-country capability provided by a higher ground clearance, increased approach and exit angles, an off-road bumper kit, Yokohama all-terrain tires, redesign of the rear differential, and, of course, the suspension specially tuned to improve stability on rough terrain and enlarge the length of shock absorbers and springs.

Other visual changes should include a front skid plate, a roof rack, an exclusive grille, and a water-repelling fabric inside.

The 2022 Subaru Forester Wilderness is set to debut in 10 days – on September 2, 2021, and then we’ll know all the details.

The Subaru Forester, we recall, is the brand’s best-seller in the USA: more than 108,000 vehicles were sold within 7 months of 2021. In Canada, this figure is 6877 units.

Here’s a detail. 5 miles less per gallon of gas. multiply that by 15 and think how much more often you will be stopping for 4-5 dollar a gallon gas. What a disappointment
