Refreshed Subaru Forester Reaches Dealers in October, Starts at $25,195

Today Subaru has announced pricing for the Forester compact crossover it updated for the 2022 model year. An all-new Wilderness version joins the lineup.

The model features a bolder exterior and a safer, more convenient interior. The carmaker redesigned the grille, front fascia, headlights, and fog light covers.

New ladder-type roof rails with integrated helpful tie-down locations offer higher dynamic load capacity (220 vs 176 pounds) and static load limit (800 vs 700 pounds).

A new system is available now – Automatic Emergency Steering. It helps avoid the collision at speeds under 50 mph when works in pair with the pre-collision braking system.

The 2022 Subaru Forester comes in six trim levels: a $25,195 Base, a $28,195 Premium, a $29,765 Sport, a $32,820 Wilderness (NEW for 2022), a $31,875 Limited, and a $35,295 Touring. The prices exclude a Destination and Delivery fee of $1,125.

The trail-capable Forester Wilderness features exclusive wheels with all-terrain tires, unique appointments inside and out. Its ground clearance is lifted to 9.2 inches.

From January to August 2021, Subaru sold 120,888 Foresters in the USA. By comparison, the Honda CR-V boasts 272,657 sales, Mazda CX-5 – 119,741 units sold, Hyundai Tucson – 94,668 sales, Toyota RAV4 – 292,021 units sold, Ford Escape – 100,329 sales in the same period. All are competitors to the Forester.

Subaru says the 2022 Forester will arrive at U.S. dealer showrooms next month.
