Subaru will unveil the second-generation BRZ this fall. The rear-wheel drive spors car should go on sale next year as a 2022 model.
Its arrival will likely take place alongside its twin – the Toyota 86. Expect the cars will be more powerful than before. The BRZ’s estimated starting price is around $30,000.
The 2022 Subaru BRZ will probably come with either a 260-hp turbocharged or a 217-hp naturally aspirated variant of the brand’s 2.4-liter flat four-cylinder engine, with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard and an automatic transmission as an option.
The first-generation Subaru BRZ was discontinued this July with no replacement announced. Recently the company teased a photo of the next BRZ’s 10-spoke wheel, and informed that the all-new car will be revealed in the fall of 2020.
Besides, from the rendering and spy photos seen before we can more or less judge of the BRZ’s exterior changes.
They are in the lights, in the grille (represents a honeycomb pattern now). There is an an integrated lip spoiler at the rear. Soon we’ll learn more.
