The Nissan Maxima full-size flagship sedan got minor updates for the 2022 model year. It is on sale now in the USA. The base price is $38,215.
The current, 8th-generation Nissan Maxima enters the new model year with a few insignificant changes inside and out.
The Scarlet Ember Tintcoat exterior color replaces the previous Carnelian Red Tintcoat; heated rear seats are added to the standard equipment for the Platinum trim level, Nissan`s press release reports.
The base equipment includes leather-appointed seats, Nissan Door-to-Door Navigation, NissanConnect Services powered by SiriusXM, Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite of safety and driver assistance features.
Under the hood, there is a 3.5-liter DOHC 24-valve V6 engine that delivers 300 horsepower in conjunction with the Xtronic transmission. The car achieves 25 mpg combined.
Nissan offers three trim levels for the 2022 Nissan Maxima: SV, SR, Platinum. They cost $38,215, $43,375 and $43,525, respectively. The prices include a destination and handling fee and exclude other charges, taxes, options.
The Nissan Maxima has been in mass production during 40 years – since 1981. The model regularly enters the lists of the best (Best Family Vehicle, Best Large Cars, etc.). As for sales, they are good enough compared to rivals:
