2022 Mitsubishi Outlander Debuted, on Sale in April 2021

Mitsubishi has unveiled a new, fourth-generation Outlander.

The SUV gets numerous upgrades and at last looks great. The change of generations is long overdue: the company has released the previous generation since 2012.

At first the flagship will go on sale in North America (USA, Canada, Puerto Rico) in April 2021, with other markets to follow. It starts at $25,795.

The newcomer boast such innovative feature as MI-PILOT Assist. This is an advanced adaptive cruise control that can automatically adjust by braking, accelerating and steering.

Moreover, the vehicle offers such amenities as a striking Dual Tone interior and a Panoramic Sunroof.

The flagship features newly developed chassis and 2.5-liter gasoline engine with improved output and fuel efficiency. An 8-speed sport mode CVT is used for the transmission.

There are five drive modes for 2WD and six for Mitsubishi’s famous Super All Wheel Control (also improved for the new model). In addition, the company specifically designed a new drive mode selector to optimize control.

The cabin is very quiet. Rear seat heaters, 8-way power front seats with key-linked memory function and 3-Zone Climate Control are available.

Interior ‘goodies’ include a 12.3-inch full digital driver display, embedded navigation, Wireless CarPlay, a premium BOSE sound system.

Convenience and security features are available through Mitsubishi’s mobile app, Mitsubishi Connect.

Advances Active Blind Spot Assist and Forward Collision Mitigation are added to the list of driver assist systems for the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander.

Available trim levels include SE, SEL, SE Touring, SE Launch Edition, SEL Launch Edition. The Launch Edition models offer a 3-month Audible subscription, Amazon Prime Music, Amazon Echo Auto.

The new-gen Outlander comes with the 10-year / 100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty.
