The updated Kia Stinger will enter the U.S car market in late 2020 or early 2021. In addition to exterior and interior tweaks, it got some upgrades under the hood.
A new variable exhaust system comes standard on all new V6 Stingers. It adds power and betters sound in the Sport mode.
The optional twin-turbo 3.3-liter V6 engine now produces 3 hp more: 368 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque.
A turbocharged 2.5-liter inline-four engine joins the Stinger’s engine lineup. It delivers 300 hp and 311 lb-ft of torque and combines with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. This mill sits between a base 2.0-liter inline-four with 255 hp and 260 lb-ft and the aforementioned V6.
As for the drive options, there will be rear- or all-wheel drive to choose from.
We’ve already reported about the 2022 Stinger’s updates, which include new head an tail lights, a bigger screen, a number of interior improvements, new driver assist features, such as lane-centering assist or a blind-spot camera system.
Expect the 2022 Kia Stinger will be slightly pricier than the current model that costs between $33,090-52,500.
