The Carnival name finally substitutes the Sedona name on the U.S. shores.
Following the global premiere, the U.S.-spec 2022 Kia Carnival will make its official debut in digital format on February, 23.
Sales will start a few months after. The Carnival should be the first Kia car in the Unites States that bears a new logo of the brand.
Kia’s latest teaser image demonstrates the vehicle’s similarity to the version we’ve already seen.
The van for the North American market comes with an only powertrain, more efficient and powerful than before.
It is about a 3.5-liter V6 engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Fuel economy is slightly improved from 21 to 22 miles per gallon (combined).
We don’t expect the U.S. version will significantly differ from the global model in terms of tech, comfort, connectivity, safety, infotainment, trim materials.
The second-row lounge seats will probably carry over to the U.S. Kia Carnival.
