2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz: Interior, Powertrains, Safety, Connectivity

Today Hyundai has unveiled its bold Santa Cruz SAV which represents a new segment. The model will be launched on the market this summer.

Interior

A contrasting interior motif of the Hyundai Santa Cruz matches the exterior. It features an enveloping dual-cockpit design and ergonomic comfort for all passengers. A 10-inch edgeless infotainment screen crowns the premium center stack. A 10-inch center digital cluster display is optional. There is convenient in-cabin storage under the rear seats. The premium Bose audio system is available.

Powertrains

There are two powertrain choices. The standard powertrain is a 2.5 -liter in-line 4-cylinder engine developing no less than 190 hp and 180 lb-ft of torque. This engine pairs with an 8-speed hydraulic automatic transmission. The towing capacity achieves 3,500 lbs.

The second engine is a 2.5-liter turbo-four with over 275 hp and 310 lb-ft. It works in combination with an 8-speed DCT. The models with this engine can tow 5,000 lbs.

Both variants offer HTRAC all-wheel-drive capability.

Technologies

The Santa Cruz offers the SmartSense technologies suite, including Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian, Cyclist, and Junction-Turning Detection, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Highway Driving Assist, Blind-Spot View Monitor, Surround View Monitor, Safe Exit Assist, Smart Cruise Control, Driver Attention Warning.  

The model offers an 8-inch color touchscreen, Wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto as standard. The Hyundai Digital Key app allows smartphones to control selected vehicle systems remotely.

A multi-task navigation system offers split-screen functionality. The model got many Blue Link Connected Car Service enhancements. Among the available Blue Link features there is Remote Start with Climate Control, Remote Door Lock/Unlock, Stolen Vehicle Recovery, Destination Search by Voice.

Complimentary Maintenance: 3 years/36,000 miles of normal oil changes and tire rotations.
