The Black Diamond Edition for the 2022 GMC Terrain is a new appearance package adding new exterior and interior content.
The current second-generation GMC Terrain got a mid-cycle refresh for the 2022 model year. The 2022 Terrain has been on sale since last summer.
The model is now available in the USA in such trim levels as SLE & SLT, Elevation Edition based on SLE & SLT, as well as AT4 and Denali, with prices from $27,900 to $36,600 excluding a destination charge, license, tax, options, and dealer fee. GM Authority has found out that one more version is added now to the 2022 model – the Black Diamond Edition.
This edition is based on the content of the Denali Premium Package plus a SkyScape power sunroof, 19-inch aluminum painted wheels with After Midnight finish, and Ebony Twilight Metallic exterior color. GMC has not informed the cost yet, but it will likely be slightly over $3K.
The mentioned Denali Premium Package includes HD Surround Vision, Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Parking Assist, heating of rear seats, and ventilation of front seating.
The GMC Terrain is called a small crossover SUV in America. It is really the smallest vehicle of the brand slotted below the Acadia, though the Terrain is rather a mid-size one by European standards. General Motors builds the model at its Mexican facility – San Luis Potosà Assembly.
The 2nd-generation GMC Terrain was unveiled at the 2017 NAIAS as a 2018 model. It rides on the D2 platform and has a 1.5-liter I4 LYX gasoline engine under the hood. That unit makes 170 hp and 203 lb-ft.
By GMC sales in the USA in the 1st quarter of 2022, the Terrain comes second, after the Sierra, out of 7 available models: 24,944 vehicles sold.
