Some unexpected changes happen under the hood. Horsepower and torque figures of the GT and Mach 1 Mustangs are reduced by 10 regardless of transmission: from 460 to 450 hp on the Mustang GT, and from 480 to 470 hp on the Mustang Mach 1. Torque drops from 420 to 410 pound-feet on both. A possible reason for this reduction is emissions requirements.

The current 2021 Mustang’s price is $27,205 for the base model, excluding fees, charges, taxes, options. The performance 2021 Ford Mustang Mach 1 starts at $53,400.
