Despite some speculations about a possible delay, the 2022 Ford F-150 Raptor should launch in August 2021, according to Ford’s previous timeline.

We hope, it will be so. The semiconductor chip shortage is still a problem and continues affecting Blue Oval’s production plans.

The company intends to begin shipping the new F-150 Raptors to U.S. dealerships this month. Of course, the situation may change due to disruption of supply chains, as we live in the coronavirus pandemic reality. As of the end of July, the model has not been put into production yet.

Ford unveiled the third-generation F-150 Raptor in February and opened order books in June. The pickup got new features, such as 24-inch coil springs, Fox Live Valve internal bypass shocks, 35-and 37-inch BFGoodrich all-terrain tires, a five-link rear suspension.

A hotter Raptor R lands next year, and it brings Ford’s supercharged 5.2-liter Predator 8-cylinder engine with around 700 horsepower.
