The Blue Oval has not released the 2022 Ford Expedition Timberline to the market yet, but already increased the model’s price over the originally set MSRP.
The 2022 Ford Expedition Timberline will cost more than expected: the carmaker has increased its manufacturer’s suggested retail price before the market launch. This is what we’ve known from Ford Authority that refers to its sources. The price should have been $68,385 but will be $69,845 including destination and delivery, before other fees, charges, tax, options.
Ford’s official website www.ford.com gives no pricing for the 2022 Expedition so far. Only the 2021 model’s specifications and prices are available.
Not long ago, Ford refreshed the Expedition SUV for the 2022 model year. In addition, back in September 2021, the company unveiled a replacement to the FX4 Off-Road Package – Timberline, which becomes the Expedition’s most off-road capable version to date.
The Ford Expedition Timberline features specific exterior elements: a unique front grille, accents in the Active Orange color, 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler A/T tires. This model has a wider track and higher ground clearance of 10.6 inches, improved approach and departure angles, the Trail Turn Assist system.
Power is transferred to either rear wheels or four wheels via a two-speed transfer case. The power unit is a 3.5-liter EcoBoost six-cylinder mated to Ford’s ten-speed automatic transmission. The engine produces 440 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque.
We have to mention that the Ford Expedition Max with an extended wheelbase won’t be available with the Timberline off-road package.
The Blue Oval will start production of the new 2022 Expedition, including the Timberline version, at its Kentucky factory. Sales should begin in the 1st quarter of 2022.
