This month, the Motor Bella event hosts many new vehicles including the refreshed Ford Expedition.
The 2022 Ford Expedition is one of 350 vehicles from 35 brands to showcase in the M1 Concourse in Pontiac, Michigan at Motor Bella – a six-day experiential auto show. The event opens on September 21, the general public can attend it on September 23-26, 2021.
Motor Bella is a replacement for the 2021 North American International Auto Show canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic. The all-new 2022 Lincoln Navigator flagship will be also displayed there, as well as the Lincoln Aviator Shinola Concept, new vehicles from Toyota, General Motors, and Stellantis.
As we previously informed, a mid-cycle refresh for the Ford Expedition includes some exterior and interior tweaks, OTA software update capability, Ford’s BlueCruise, several mechanical improvements, adding of the Timberline version analogous to that of the 2021 Ford Explorer. A dual-tip exhaust, sporty 22-inch wheels, stickier road tires, red-painted brake calipers will be available as options.
The current 2021 Ford Expedition costs between $49,625-77,425. In addition to spacious seating and cargo hold, the model features a performance score that is among the best in the class. The Expedition’s twin-turbo V6 engine holds its own against the V8 engines of competitors. Among the SUV’s weakpoints there are the cabin materials (some hard plastics) and 22-inch wheels providing a stiff ride. We expect the carmaker has made adequate improvements for the 2022 Expedition.
