2022 Ford Bronco Is Now Available With a Manual Transmission

After multiple enthusiasts petitioned to add a manual transmission to the list of the Ford Bronco’s features, the company has heeded the requests.

A seven-speed manual gearbox is now available for the 2022 Ford Bronco. Not with all engines and not for all trims, but in a pair to the SUV’s 2.3-liter 300-hp turbo-four EcoBoost engine as part of the Sasquatch Package. The same engine can be also available with a ten-speed automatic transmission.

The other engine option, we remind, is a 2.7-liter V6 that delivers 330 horsepower. But this unit comes without a stick shift: the 10-speed AT is the only choice for this variant.

Sasquatch is a popular package for off-road driving. Ford offers this option for every Bronco model. The package adds Bilstein position-sensitive dampers, 35-inch all-terrain tires, 17-inch beadlock-compatible wheels, front and rear locking differentials, a 1.2-inch suspension lift-kit, higher-mounted fender flares, and a 4.7 final drive ratio.

More than half of current Ford Bronco orders are the Bronco Sasquatch vehicles. It should be expected that with the addition of the manual transmission, this package will become even more in demand.
