Official: 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban Roll Off Assembly Line

According to the manufacturer`s latest press release, the 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban will begin rolling off the assembly line from next month. This means the start of customer deliveries.

Chevrolet refreshed the Tahoe and Suburban SUVs for the 2022 model year and readies to put them into production in October 2021. Changes include more mechanical options, infotainment upgrades, more standard active safety features.

A popular 6.2-liter 420-hp V8 engine expands to three more trims – RST, Z71, Premier. A 5.3L V8 remains the base engine, a Duramax turbodiesel comes for all trims, except the Z71 off-road version.

Every engine is mated to a standard 10-speed automatic transmission with a push-button electronic shift. An electronic limited-slip differential available on Z71 is new for 2022MY.

The models now offer up to 13 unique camera views. A new bigger 12.3-inch configurable digital instrument cluster is standard for LT and above, as well as Google built-in giving access to Google Assistant/Maps/Play right on the vehicle display.

The integration will evolve over time. By voice or the steering wheel, owners of the 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban will be able to control vehicle functions, such as HVAC, audio volume, changing AM/FM radio, SiriusXM, navigation.  

Front and Rear Park Assist, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning are base functions now. Moreover, the Buckle to Drive feature is also standard for both models. It reminds the driver to buckle up before driving and does not allow shifting out of a parking lot until all seat belts are fastened.

Finally, the refreshed models add new exterior colors – Evergreen Gray Metallic, Auburn Metallic, and Dark Ash Metallic.

Interestingly, the Chevrolet Tahoe heads the TOP 5 of “Best Vehicles for Tall People” compiled by Kelley Blue Book.
