The 2021 Chevrolet Corvette C8 is ending up. The carmaker plans to begin production of the next- model-year cars at the plant in Kentucky in early September.
The Corvette C8 is available as the Stingray Coupe of Convertible in 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT grades. For 2022, the model adds a new version – the IMSA GTLM Championship Edition. The Z06 variant’s arrival is postponed to 2023.
The 2022 Corvette comes in three new exterior colors – Hypersonic Gray Metallic, Amplify Orange Tintcoat, Caffeine Metallic, and slight upgrades to the 6.2L V8 LT2 engine, namely to the fuel injection and active fuel management systems.
With the Сhevy Corvette C8, the manufacturer has been facing a problem when demand significantly exceeds supply.
General Motors admitted they could not catch up with demand. Although the company is trying to fulfill the orders at Event Status 3000 and above, apparently, a number of them will move to the subsequent, 2022 model year.
