The Buick Enclave 3-row SUV has been refreshed for the 2022 model year. Pricing, powertrain and equipment details will follow.

The grille and lights have been updated, there are some improvements inside.

Expect that the Enclave’s base engine – a 3.6-liter V6 – remains. GM’s 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine may join the range.

The same trim levels will be available: Preferred, Essence, Premium, and Avenir. The list of standard equipment should widen for 2022.

The current model starts at $41,195. The new one will probably cost slightly more when it arrives later this year.

The current Buick Enclave can boast a decent list of standard infotainment features, a smooth ride, and ample engine power. It is one of the roomiest vehicles in the segment with spacious seats and a large cargo hold.

However, this midsize SUV comes with few standard active safety features. For a vehicle with such a high base price, it has too many low-quality interior materials.

For comparison: the Chevrolet Traverse is more affordable, the Mazda CX-9 has sharper handling, and the Acura MDX offers more luxury.
