In the summer of 2020, Toyota revealed a new limited version of the Corolla – the Apex Edition. It adds an assortment of little upgrades. Now the pricing info has become known.
The new edition is available only on two trims – SE and XSE. A dealer order guide shows the Toyota Corolla Apex Edition SE starts at $26,065. The XSE trim’s price is $29,205. The increase over the standard Corolla SE and XSE models is $2,695 and $2,385, respectively.
Toyota offers only 6000 Apex Edition cars for the 2021 model year. The SE model with a 6-speed manual gearbox comes in quantity of just 120 units.
The new version should appear at the dealer showrooms soon.
The Apex Edition Corollas are powered by a familiar 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 169-hp (126 kW) and 151 lb-ft (205 Nm). It sends power either through a continuously variable transmission or the aforementioned manual one.
The most notable change is suspension upgrade: Toyota lowered it by 0.6 inches thanks to new coil springs with internal rebound shocks. The suspension is 47 percent stiffer in the front and 33 percent in the rear.
Customers can opt for one of two two-tone exterior color schemes or a blacked-out single-tone look. Inside, the Corolla Apex Edition XSE offers faux leather seats adjustable in 8 ways.
