Mercedes-AMG offers a new entry-level GT43 four-door coupe.
The model should arrive by the end of this year. It will cost $89,900 (excl. destination).
This is $10,050 cheaper than the mid-pack 2020 Mercedes-AMG GT 53 with which the GT 43 shares a 3.0-liter inline-six turbo engine mated to the brand’s EQ Boost mild-hybrid 48-volt system.
The GT 43’s total output is 362 hp (270 kW) and 369 lb-ft (500 Nm) of torque. The Q Boost adds 21 hp (16 kW) and 184 lb-ft (249 Nm). The upper-range GT 53 has 429 hp (320 kW) and 384 lb-ft (521 Nm).
Like the GT 53, the GT 43 has an AMG-tuned 4Matic+ system, a 9-speed AMG Speedshift automatic transmission, a standard AMG Ride Control suspension.
The car offers more space for passengers than the CLS. It has more responsive handling and performance than four-doors of Mercedes-Benz.
For the 2021 model year, all four-door coupes of the brand, including the Mercedes-AMG GT 43, receive the base MBUX infotainment system that brings “Hey Mercedes” voice assistant. The GT 43 also gets the Burmester sound system as standard.
