Mazda has released a teaser of the upcoming 2021 BT-50 pickup truck. The company will unveil it in 5 days.
Its appearance will represent Mazda’s design language.
The vehicle will share the platform with a new Isuzu D-Max, and possibly will offer the same cabin variants – a four-door extended cab, two-door single cab, four-door double cab.
The D-Max’s driver’s display and a 9-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will most like carry over to the BT-50.
Expect Isuzu’s powertrains for the new pickup, comprising rear or all-wheel drive, a 6-speed manual of a 6-speed automatic gearbox, a 4-cylinder 3.0-liter 140-kW (188-hp) turbo diesel engine with 450 Nm/332 lb-ft of torque or a 1.9-liter diesel engine with 148 hp and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft).
Mazda introduced the first-gen BT-50 on the basis of the Ford Ranger in 2006. In 5 years, the secon-generation arrived. This new one will be the third iteration of the model.
