The Mazda 6 Sedan receives refreshes, including new connectivity features and a number of appearance tweaks.
Mazda has left the same base naturally aspirated 2.5-liter engine and a sole 6-speed automatic gearbox. The optional 2.5-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder mill gains additional 10 lb-ft of torque, and now totals 320 lb-ft.
We’re not sure yet about availability of a Skyactive D diesel engine and all-wheel drive for the 2021 Mazda 6 Sedan.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard now. Wireless Apple CarPlay comes for the Grand Touring and Signature trim levels.
All new 6s with the 2.5T 250-hp Skyactive-G engine come with a “Turbo” badge for differentiation.
The Carbon Edition package features a special color combination of Polymetal Grey exterior with a red interior and black trim. In the Mazda 6’s lineup, it sits below the top Signature model. The Carbon Edition offers the only engine option – the 2.5-liter turbo-four.
The 2021 model’s base price is slightly higher than before: from $25,720; turbocharged versions start from $30,970; the Carbon Edition costs $33,745.
The 2021 cars will begin arriving at U.S. dealers later this month.
