The new Jeep Wrangler 4xe plug-in hybrid reaches dealerships in the first quarter of 2021.

The Wrangler 4xe Launch Edition is coming. Customers can sign up on Jeep’s consumer website to find out when the Wrangler 4xe will be available at a local dealer.

At launch, Jeep offers only two trims – Sahara and Rubicon with net prices of $49,490 and $53,190, respectively.

The PHEV costs around $9,000 more than gasoline Wranglers of the same trim levels (Sahara – $41,000, Rubicon – $43,885).

The 4xe Launch Edition offers an 8.4-inch infotainment screen, an improved 9-speaker Alpine audio system, leather bucket seats (Sahara), a single 2.0-liter turbo-four engine with 375 hp and 470 lb-ft mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

A 17.0-kWh battery provides 25 miles of electric-only range. A two-speed transfer case enables full-time four-wheel drive. With a ground clearance of 10.6 inches, the model is capable to ford up to 30 inches of water.

Jeep claims the plug-in hybrid Wrangler’s fuel efficiency achieves 50 MPGe. The model accelerates from zero to 60 mph in around 6.0 seconds.
