Infiniti Official debuts

2021 Infiniti QX55 Crossover Coupe Debuts On November 11

This is a coupe version of the QX50 crossover. Infiniti will introduce the model via live stream, and it is still unclear when and if it will be shown off in person.

The automaker calls the QX55 a “return to the luxury crossover coupe segment it created almost two decades ago,” hinting at the FX (or the QX70 since summer 2013) that was the first.

We wonder if the company plans the fastback SUV lineup. For example, it would be great to see a QX65 model based on the next-gen QX60.

A recent teaser shows the Infiniti QX55’s silhouette with well-sorted proportions.

The vehicle uses the QX50’s underpinnings. When it comes, the QX55 will mainly compete will the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe and the BMW X4.

As for the powertrain details, the new model may inherit a 2.0-liter inline turbo-four from the Infiniti QX50 on which this mill develops 268 hp (200 kW) and 280 lb-ft (380 Nm) of torque.

The engine could be mated to a CVT (continuously variable transmission) and standard front-wheel or optional all-wheel drive. AWD may well be available as standard.
