Ford has just unveiled the 2021 Mustang Mach 1.
The sports car got many track-oriented features from the Shelby GT350 and GT500. It is coming with the familiar Mustang Bullitt’s 5.0-liter 480-hp / 420 lb-ft V8 engine.
From the Shelby GT350, it receives an intake manifold, an oil-filter adapter, an oil cooling system, lower front vents, front and rear subframe, incandescent park and turn lamps.
From the Shelby GT500, the new Mach 1 inherits rear tire spats, a lower diffuser, a rear axle cooling system and rear toe link.
The Handling Package is available with the Shelby GT350R’s Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, and the GT500’s rear spoiler with Gurney flap.
The GT350’s 6-speed manual transmission comes standard for the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach 1. A 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission is optional.
Expect the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach on the market in spring 2021 priced around $50,000.
For comparison: the 526-hp Mustang Shelby GT350 costs $61,535, the 760-hp GT500 starts at $73,995.
