The 2021 Fisker all-electric SUV will go into series production in 2021. It is claimed to compete with the Tesla Model Y.
Recently Henrik Fisker (Fisker Inc.’s CEO) has posted a photo teaser of the upcoming model’s front.
According to him, they want to “make the world’s most sustainable vehicle”. It will have a four-wheel drive configuration and a twin-engine layout.
The total output has not been announced yet, but we know that an 80-kWh battery provides a 300-mi (483-km) driving range. For comparison: the long-range Model Y’s figure is about 280 mi (450 km).
Mass production is scheduled for 2021. Earlier Fisker told the company would focus on the premium segment. They took many technologies from the Karma fraternal startup (hypercars maker).
In the latest photo the Fisker SUV looks sporty and modern. It features long-line daytime running lights, narrow headlamps, a large grille and an embossed bumper.
Fisker promises the price below $40,000.
