This performance version is available in limited quantity at $53,325 including a destination fee. The model comes with a 3.0-liter 335-hp turbo-six engine, a specially-tuned 10-speed automatic transmission, Acura’s Super Handling All-Wheel Drive. It features Brembo brakes, a sport-tuned double-wishbone front suspension, adaptive dampers.
Customers can opt for a hotter TLX Type S with High-Performance Wheel and Tire Package. This variant costs $54,125, brings split five-spoke wheels and 255-series Pirelli P-Zero summer tires.
Moreover, the 2021 Acura TLX Type S offers 16-way driver and front passenger sport seats with power-adjustable bolsters, supple Milano leather with Ultrasuede inserts, Type S embossing on the headrests, an ELS Studio 3D 17-speaker premium audio system, a 10.2-inch audio and information display with the brand’s True Touch Interface.
The AcuraWatch suite of safety and driver assistance features comes as standard. The model’s fuel economy rating is 21 mpg in a combined cycle according to the EPA test.
