Subaru North America has announces prices for its updated performance models: 2020 BRZ, WRX and WRX STI.
They will reach dealerships this fall.
The Subaru BRZ is equipped with a 2.0-liter 205-hp boxer engine, a 6-speed close-ratio manual gearbox and Torsen limited-slip differential. The optional automatic transmission model has 200 hp.
Available trim levels are:
- BRZ Limited- 6MT- $28,845;
- BRZ Limited -6AT-$29,945;
- BRZ tS (returned to the lineup) – 6MT – $31,495
The Subaru WRX (pictured above) leads in the performance AWD sport-compact segment. It has a 2.0-liter 268-hp direct injection turbocharged boxer engine, Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and Active Torque Vectoring.
The starting price grew by only $300. EyeSight Driver Assist technology is standard on the model with a sport Lineartronic CVT (continuously variable transmission).
Subaru offers the following trim levels for the 2020 WRX :
- WRX – 6MT -$27,495;
- WRX Premium – 6MT – $29,795;
- WRX Premium –CVT – $31,695;
- WRX Limited – 6MT -$32,095;
- WRX Limited – CVT -$33,995.
Subaru WRX STI
The 2020 WRX STI received Multi-Mode Driver Controlled Center Differential (DCCD), Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and a 2.5-liter boxer turbo motor developing 310 hp and 290 lb-ft of torque.
Keyless Access with Push-Button Start is now standard on the WRX STI. The starting price increased by $400.
Prices and trims are:
- WRX STI – 6MT – $36,995;
- WRX STI Limited-Wing – 6MT – $41,695;
- WRX STI-Low Profile Trunk Spoiler – 6MT – 41,695.
Destination and delivery cost for all three is $900. Upgraded Performance Package is available, costing $1,195 for the BRZ, $2,850 for the WRX.
