Skoda has published teaser images of the restyled Superb. The flagship of the Czech brand is gradually drifting towards the luxury segment. The model will have a plug-in hybrid version.
The revised 2020 Skoda Superb has been teased ahead the debut. The Czech carmaker immediately made it clear that the flagship would retain the wagon and off-road Scout versions (the latter is pictured).
The updated interior shows a new digital dashboard with a luxurious design and an expensive infotainment system. All this suggests the model is on the way to the luxury class.
The Superb is s expected to receive minor outer changes, but in terms of equipment, the progress will be more tangible. It is about additional driver assist technologies, new engines and, most importantly, a plug-in hybrid powertrain including a 1.4-liter gasoline engine, an electric motor and a 13kWh battery.
The total power of such a system exceeds 215hp, and the electric-only driving range is up to 31 mi / 50km.
Skoda will present the Superb this week simultaneously with the first production electric car of the brand.
